Ripple Therapeutics is a private, clinical-stage ophthalmology biotech developing sustained-release ophthalmic implants based on its proprietary Epidel platform. The company chemically engineers drug molecules into polymer-free prodrug materials that can be formed into biodegradable implants or coatings designed to provide controlled, surface-eroding drug release over extended periods. Its lead clinical program, IBE-814 IVT, is an intravitreal dexamethasone prodrug implant being studied for diabetic macular edema and retinal vein occlusion, with non-infectious uveitis also described as a target indication.
