Rise Recovery

Rise Recovery is a San Antonio, Texas-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens, young adults, and families overcome the effects of drugs and alcohol. Originally established in 1977 as the Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP) of San Antonio, the organization rebranded in 2014 to expand its reach and services. Rise Recovery provides free, peer-led recovery support services, counseling, and prevention education, serving Bexar County and surrounding areas. Its comprehensive continuum of care includes an adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and the Rise Inspire Academy, the only recovery high school in Bexar County. The organization operates on a peer-to-peer model, utilizing certified peer counselors with lived recovery experience to foster a supportive, barrier-free environment.
