Company intelligence / Profile preview
Robapharm was a prominent Swiss pharmaceutical company based in Basel, specializing in the fields of rheumatology, orthopedics, and cardiovascular health. Founded in 1946, the company gained international recognition for its specialized biological extracts and small molecule treatments, most notably Rumalon, a glycosaminoglycan-peptide complex used for osteoarthritis, and Ossopan, a microcrystalline hydroxyapatite compound for bone health. In 1999, Robapharm was acquired by the French pharmaceutical group Pierre Fabre. Following the acquisition, Robapharm's operations were integrated into Pierre Fabre's Swiss subsidiary, and its product portfolio continues to be managed under the parent company's healthcare division.
