Robossis

Robossis is a private U.S. medical device company developing an image-guided robotic system for orthopedic trauma surgery, with an initial focus on minimally invasive alignment of fractured long bones. Its lead platform, Robossis Alpha, is described as the first robotic surgical system designed specifically for long-bone fracture alignment and combines robotic manipulation, imaging, real-time tracking, AI-guided positioning, and surgeon control. The company aims to improve fracture reduction accuracy, reduce radiation exposure and surgical complications, and shorten procedure time compared with conventional manual techniques. Robossis appears to be commercializing technology originally developed at Rowan University under a patent license and has advanced through prototype and cadaver-testing stages while moving toward clinical trials and eventual FDA clearance.
