Company intelligence / Profile preview
Roerig Farmaceutici Italiana was the Italian operating unit of Roerig, a specialized pharmaceutical division of Pfizer. Originally established as J.B. Roerig & Company before its acquisition by Pfizer in 1953, the division became a cornerstone of Pfizer's commercial success in the 20th century. It was primarily responsible for the marketing and distribution of significant therapeutic agents, including the antifungal Diflucan and the antidepressant Zoloft. While the Roerig brand name has largely been phased out in favor of the unified Pfizer corporate identity, its legacy remains integral to Pfizer's history in Italy and globally. The entity is now fully integrated into Pfizer Italia S.r.l., continuing to provide a wide range of healthcare solutions across multiple therapeutic areas.
