Overview
Rona’s lead program RN1871—an siRNA targeting angiotensinogen (AGT) for hypertension—received IND approval from China’s NMPA in April 2025. Preclinical data showed potent AGT suppression with significant blood pressure reduction and a favorable safety profile. Phase I trials are planned to assess safety/pharmacokinetics/efficacy in humans. The company has additional preclinical programs targeting cardiometabolic, obesity/MASH, and neurological indications using its proprietary siRNA platforms.
