Rosette's primary mission was to develop non-hallucinogenic analogs of psychedelic compounds, targeting the 5-HT2A receptor to treat conditions such as depression and anxiety without the associated hallucinogenic effects. Their approach combined computational modeling with medicinal chemistry to create highly selective small molecules. In April 2022, the company's entire CNS portfolio and intellectual property were acquired by Terran Biosciences to be integrated into Terran's drug development pipeline.
