Roskamp Institute

The Roskamp Institute specializes in translational neuroscience research focused on neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases. Its most advanced clinical work involved nilvadipine—a small molecule dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker—taken through Phase I/II and then a large international Phase III trial for Alzheimer’s disease. The institute also runs multiple ongoing preclinical and early-stage clinical programs targeting traumatic brain injury, PTSD, Gulf War illness, Red Tide toxin exposure effects, and related neurological disorders. It operates an onsite neurology clinic that conducts its own investigator-led trials.
