Recherche et Pharmacologie de Lorraine (RPL) was a French contract research organization (CRO) specializing in clinical pharmacology and drug development services. Founded in 1989 and based in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, the company provided a comprehensive range of Phase I to IV clinical trial services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. RPL was particularly recognized for its expertise in early-phase clinical trials, operating a dedicated clinical pharmacology unit. In 2004, the company was acquired by SGS, a global leader in inspection, verification, testing, and certification, to strengthen its Life Science Services division in Europe. Following the acquisition, RPL's operations were integrated into the SGS global network of clinical research facilities.
