Company intelligence / Profile preview
RYAM (Rayonier Advanced Materials) is a global leader in the production of high-purity cellulose specialties—natural polymers derived from wood that are essential building blocks for products in filters, food, pharmaceuticals, LCD screens, textiles, plastics, coatings, construction materials and more. The company emphasizes sustainability through responsible forestry practices and innovation in renewable biomaterials. It generated $1.6 billion revenue in 2023[5][6][7]. While its products are widely used as excipients or functional ingredients by pharmaceutical manufacturers (e.g., for controlled release formulations), RYAM does not itself conduct clinical trials or have a pharmaceutical pipeline[9][10]. In recent years it has expanded into biofuels (bioethanol), prebiotics projects via its BioNova subsidiary[6], lignin-based chemicals and tall oils. The company operates major manufacturing facilities across the US, Canada and France. No clinical results apply since it does not develop therapeutics.
