Sabex was a leading Canadian pharmaceutical company specializing in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of generic sterile injectables. Based in Boucherville, Quebec, the company established a significant presence in the hospital and clinical sectors, providing essential medicines across various therapeutic areas. Its portfolio primarily included anti-infectives, anesthetics, and ophthalmic products, known for meeting rigorous quality standards. In June 2004, Sabex was acquired by Sandoz, the generic pharmaceuticals division of Novartis, for approximately $565 million.
