Sabratek

Sabratek was a medical technology company that specialized in the development and manufacturing of infusion pumps and remote healthcare monitoring systems. The company's primary products included the Sabratek 3030 and 6060 infusion pumps, designed for use in both hospital and home care settings to deliver fluids and medications. Sabratek also developed software solutions intended to facilitate remote communication between patients and healthcare providers. Despite initial commercial success and a public listing, the company faced significant regulatory challenges from the FDA and internal accounting discrepancies. These issues led to a voluntary recall of its pumps and eventually forced the company into Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1999. Following the bankruptcy filing, the company's core assets were acquired by Baxter International in 2000.
