SafeCoat Medical develops a proprietary antimicrobial peptide-based coating for medical devices and implants that repels and kills bacteria, preventing biofilm formation and device-associated infections. The platform is substrate-independent, stable, and demonstrates broad-spectrum antibiofilm and antifouling activity in animal models. The coating has shown >1000-fold reduction in bacterial load in preclinical models, with no loss of activity under harsh conditions or long-term storage.
