Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sagent Agila was a strategic joint venture established in 2007 between Sagent Pharmaceuticals and Agila Specialties, a subsidiary of Strides Arcolab. The entity was dedicated to the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of generic injectable pharmaceuticals for the United States market, focusing on critical care, oncology, and anti-infectives. Following Mylan's acquisition of Agila Specialties in 2013, the joint venture was eventually dissolved, and its assets were integrated into the parent organizations. The partnership was instrumental in expanding the availability of affordable, high-quality injectable medications in hospitals and clinics across North America.
