Company intelligence / Profile preview
Saint Therese Medical Center was a prominent community hospital located in Waukegan, Illinois, originally established in 1929 by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The center provided a full spectrum of medical services, including acute care, obstetrics, and emergency services, serving as a cornerstone of healthcare in Lake County for nearly 70 years. In 1998, the facility merged with Victory Memorial Hospital to form the Vista Health System, leading to a consolidation of regional healthcare resources. Following the merger and subsequent acquisitions by larger healthcare corporations, the original Saint Therese campus was repurposed to focus on specialized care. It currently operates as Vista Medical Center West, primarily providing inpatient behavioral health and physical rehabilitation services.
