Company intelligence / Profile preview
Salutaris Medical Devices has developed BetaCurve™, a patented and 510(k)-cleared minimally invasive device that delivers precision episcleral beta radiation to treat ophthalmic diseases such as wet AMD and PCV. The technology offers an outpatient procedure that takes about 10–15 minutes and requires only one treatment. Clinical development includes a Phase 3 trial investigating adjunctive use with aflibercept in patients with inadequate response to anti-VEGF therapy for PCV. Previous studies have demonstrated safety and feasibility of the approach in nAMD patients not responding to standard care[2][5][8].
