Samarit Medical

Samarit Medical is a Swiss medical device and patient-handling company focused on products that help move, position, and support patients safely in hospitals, operating rooms, emergency settings, radiology, long-term care, and homecare. The company is best known for its patented Rollbord no-lift patient transfer system and also sells related transfer boards, glide systems, positioning aids, slings, cushions, and selected care-management trolleys. Samarit operates through an international distributor network and direct sales presence in parts of Europe, with affiliated operations in Canada and the United States for the Rollboard business. In 2024, Samarit was acquired by PHS Group as part of that group’s European healthcare equipment expansion. The business is commercial-stage rather than a therapeutics developer, so it does not have a drug pipeline in the biotech/pharma sense.
