Samaritan Pharmaceuticals (often referred to as Samaritan Therapeutics) was a development-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, that focused on commercializing innovative therapeutic products for life-threatening diseases. The company's primary research areas included Alzheimer's disease, HIV/AIDS, oncology, and cardiovascular conditions. Its lead clinical candidates were Caprospinol (SP-1000), a small molecule designed to bind to beta-amyloid for the treatment of Alzheimer's, and SP-01A, an entry inhibitor for HIV-1. Despite advancing several programs into mid-stage clinical trials and maintaining a public listing, the company faced significant financial and regulatory challenges, eventually becoming inactive and delisted in the early 2010s.
