Company intelligence / Profile preview
Samsara Vision develops and markets the only FDA-approved implantable miniature telescope for patients with late-stage age-related macular degeneration. Their lead product, the Implantable Miniature Telescope (IMT), has demonstrated significant improvements in both distance and near visual acuity for patients with advanced AMD. The next-generation SING IMT™ device, which allows implantation through a smaller incision, has shown positive six-month safety and efficacy results—97% of patients achieved at least one-line gain in best-corrected distance visual acuity and near reading ability improved from ~29% to ~97% post-surgery. The SING IMT™ is approved in Europe; U.S. pivotal studies are ongoing.
