Company intelligence / Profile preview
Samsung Peptide AG is a Swiss-based direct subsidiary of Samsung Biologics Co., Ltd., established in 2026 as a special purpose corporation to facilitate the acquisition of PolyPeptide Group AG. Through this acquisition, valued at approximately CHF 1.46 billion ($1.8 billion), Samsung Biologics expands its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) capabilities into the high-growth peptide therapeutics market, particularly targeting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) treatments for obesity and type 2 diabetes. Samsung Peptide serves as the formal offeror in the public tender offer to acquire all publicly held registered shares of PolyPeptide. Upon completion of the transaction, the entity will integrate PolyPeptide's global manufacturing footprint across Sweden, Belgium, France, the US, and India into Samsung's broader CDMO portfolio.
