Company intelligence / Profile preview
Saddleback Memorial Medical Center - San Clemente was a 73-bed acute care hospital located in San Clemente, California. Originally opened in 1972 as San Clemente General Hospital, the facility was acquired by MemorialCare Health System in 2005 and operated as a campus of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. The hospital provided a range of medical services including emergency care, critical care, and surgery to the South Orange County community. Due to declining inpatient volumes and the failure of legislative efforts to allow for a standalone emergency department, the facility officially closed on May 31, 2016. The site is currently being redeveloped into a senior housing community and a medical office building.
