Terraxy is a biotechnology and agricultural technology company spun out from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) that focuses on soil regeneration and desert rehabilitation. The company's flagship technology, SandX, is a nature-inspired, super-water-repellent biodegradable mulch that reduces topsoil water evaporation by up to 80%, significantly enhancing plant health and seedling survivability in arid climates. Terraxy also offers CarboSoil, an engineered biochar produced from organic waste that improves soil fertility, prevents nutrient leaching, and supports carbon sequestration.
