Sankyo Lifetech

Sankyo Lifetech was a Japanese subsidiary of Sankyo Co., Ltd. (now part of Daiichi Sankyo) that specialized in non-pharmaceutical life science businesses, including animal health, food additives, and specialty chemicals. Established in 2003 to consolidate Sankyo's special products division, the company managed a diverse portfolio ranging from veterinary medicines like Covalzin to industrial enzymes and pest control services. Following the 2005 merger that formed Daiichi Sankyo, the parent company divested these non-core assets to focus on human pharmaceuticals. Between 2006 and 2007, Sankyo Lifetech's various business units were sold to Novartis, Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsui Chemicals, and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. The company was officially dissolved in December 2007 after the completion of these transfers.
