SansRosa Pharmaceuticals was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing innovative topical treatments for dermatological conditions, with a primary focus on rosacea. The company's lead product candidate was a topical gel formulation of brimonidine tartrate, an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist designed to reduce the facial redness (erythema) associated with rosacea. In 2011, SansRosa was acquired by Galderma, which integrated the technology into its dermatology portfolio. The lead candidate subsequently received FDA approval in 2013 and is currently marketed as Mirvaso.
