Saraya Manufacturing Uganda is a leading manufacturer of sanitation, hygiene, and public health products in East Africa. Established as a subsidiary of the Japanese global hygiene company Saraya Co., Ltd., the company pioneered the local production of alcohol-based hand sanitizers in Uganda using locally sourced sugarcane-derived ethanol. Its flagship product, Alsoft V, is widely used across healthcare facilities, businesses, and households to prevent healthcare-associated infections and combat outbreaks like Ebola and COVID-19. Beyond manufacturing, Saraya Manufacturing Uganda is heavily involved in public health education, training healthcare workers, and promoting hand hygiene initiatives throughout the region.
