Overview
SarcoMed USA’s lead program, SM001 (alidornase), is an inhaled DNase I therapy targeting chronic pulmonary inflammation in pulmonary sarcoidosis. The company completed a pre‑IND meeting with the FDA and received orphan drug status. Proof-of-concept studies are ongoing, including an open-label study using a biosimilar DNase1 in Kazakhstan. Additional indications under exploration include ARDS, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and cystic fibrosis. An option exists on a no-alpha IL‑2 mutein drug for oncology indications with early clinical signals observed in Cuba.
