SB1518-associated Singapore entity

SBIO was a Singapore-based biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of small molecule therapeutics for cancer. Established as a joint venture between Chiron Corporation and the Singapore Economic Development Board, the company utilized a structure-based drug design platform to develop a pipeline of kinase and HDAC inhibitors. Its lead candidate, pacritinib (SB1518), is a selective JAK2/FLT3 inhibitor that eventually received FDA approval for myelofibrosis after being divested to CTI BioPharma. SBIO played a foundational role in the Singaporean biotech ecosystem before its assets were sold and the company ceased operations around 2014.
