Schieffelin Institute of Health-Research and Leprosy Center (SIHRLC), located in Karigiri, Tamil Nadu, India, is a premier research institute, training center, and general hospital dedicated to the care, treatment, and elimination of leprosy. Established in 1955, the institute has evolved from a specialized leprosy sanatorium into a 150-bed integrated health facility that provides comprehensive medical care, reconstructive surgery, and rehabilitation services.
