Its Medical Systems Division became a global leader in the production of high-complexity medical devices, including MRI machines, CT scanners, ultrasound systems, and blood analyzers for top-tier OEMs like GE and Philips. The company was instrumental in the growth of the medical outsourcing market, providing end-to-end design, engineering, and manufacturing services. In 2001, SCI Systems was acquired by Sanmina Corporation for approximately $6 billion, forming Sanmina-SCI. Today, its legacy continues as part of Sanmina's extensive medical manufacturing operations.
