Sci-Vac

SciVac Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company primarily known for developing and commercializing Sci-B-Vac, a third-generation hepatitis B vaccine. The vaccine is unique for containing three hepatitis B surface antigens (S, pre-S1, and pre-S2), designed to provide more rapid and higher rates of seroprotection compared to single-antigen vaccines. In 2016, SciVac completed a merger with VBI Vaccines, which now manages the development and commercialization of the Sci-B-Vac platform. The company's operations were centered in Rehovot, Israel, where it maintained specialized manufacturing facilities for recombinant protein vaccines. Sci-B-Vac has since received regulatory approvals in major markets including the United States and Europe under the brand names PreHevbrio and PreHevbri.
