Scion Systems

Scion Life Sciences launched in early 2024 as a New York-based venture capital firm focused on founding and building biotechnology startups that develop clinically transformational or curative medicines. It raised an oversubscribed $310 million inaugural fund to support its mission. The firm actively incubates new biotech ventures internally and provides long-term operational support with the goal of creating sustainable biopharma enterprises capable of progressing therapies from pre-seed through IPO or commercial stage.

The team includes experienced founders/operators who lead internal startup incubation efforts. While specific clinical results are not available for the VC itself, its leadership has track records at successful biotech firms such as Dyne Therapeutics, RaNA Therapeutics/Translate Bio (acquired by Sanofi), Alexion, Pfizer, etc.
