Scopis

Scopis was a Germany-based medical technology company that developed and commercialized image-guided surgical navigation systems for minimally invasive procedures. Its products combined optical and electromagnetic tracking, augmented reality visualization, and surgical planning software for ENT, craniomaxillofacial, neuro, spine, and bronchoscopic applications. The company emerged as a spin-out from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Fraunhofer IPK and built a differentiated platform around endoscopic and microscopic navigation. Scopis also developed mixed-reality and holographic navigation capabilities, including integrations with Microsoft HoloLens. The company was acquired by Stryker in 2017, and its technology continues to be reflected in Stryker ENT navigation offerings powered by Scopis software.
