Company intelligence / Profile preview
Scottish Healthcare Supplies (SHS) was the central procurement and logistics division for the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland. Operating under the Common Services Agency, the organization was responsible for the strategic sourcing, warehousing, and distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals to hospitals and healthcare facilities across Scotland. SHS played a critical role in consolidating the purchasing power of the Scottish health boards to achieve cost efficiencies and ensure the availability of essential clinical products. In the mid-2000s, its functions were transitioned into National Procurement as part of a broader restructuring into NHS National Services Scotland (NSS).
