Company intelligence / Profile preview
SDI Diagnostics International was a subsidiary and division of the Austrian specialty pharmaceutical company Sanochemia Pharmazeutika AG. The entity was primarily focused on the international licensing and commercialization of Sanochemia's core products in the fields of neurology, oncology, and diagnostic imaging. Its most prominent activity was the 2006 licensing agreement with Avigen for the North American rights to tolperisone (AV650), a centrally acting muscle relaxant used to treat spasticity. The company also managed Sanochemia's diagnostic portfolio, which included iodinated contrast media and the photodynamic diagnostic agent PVP-Hypericin for bladder cancer. Following Sanochemia's restructuring and insolvency in 2019, the entity's operations were largely integrated into the successor company or dissolved.
