SearchAmerica was a U.S. healthcare technology company focused on revenue cycle management and patient financial clearance for hospitals and health systems. Its software and data services helped providers verify patient addresses, predict likelihood of payment, optimize collections, and screen patients for charity care, Medicaid, and other financial assistance programs. The company also offered products such as Address Checker and Patient Open Balance Display to support front-end patient access and financial counseling workflows. SearchAmerica served hundreds of hospital facilities before being acquired by Experian in December 2008 and subsequently operated as part of Experian Health. It was not a drug-development biotech or pharma company, but a healthcare analytics and SaaS business.
