Seaside Therapeutics

Seaside Therapeutics was a biotech company focused on developing novel therapeutics for neurodevelopmental disorders such as fragile X syndrome and autism. Its lead candidate, STX209, an oral selective GABA-B receptor agonist, completed the largest randomized controlled Phase II trial in fragile X syndrome and an open-label Phase IIa trial in autism. Two Phase III studies for fragile X were enrolling at the time of its last major update. The company also had pending programs targeting mGluR5 and parathyroid hormone pathways. It entered a landmark partnership with Roche to advance late-stage development but ultimately went out of business.
