Seattle Indian Health Board

Seattle Indian Health Board (SIHB) is a community health center that provides health and human services to the urban American Indian and Alaska Native community in the greater Seattle area. Founded in 1970, the organization offers a comprehensive range of services including medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health care, integrating traditional indigenous knowledge with Western medicine. SIHB also houses the Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI), one of 12 Tribal Epidemiology Centers in the country, which focuses on data, research, and evaluation to improve the health of urban Indian populations nationwide. The organization operates as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and is a leader in indigenous-led healthcare and public health research.
