Secca

Secca is a medical technology brand and procedure primarily focused on the treatment of fecal incontinence (FI). Originally developed by Curon Medical and later commercialized by Mederi Therapeutics, the Secca System utilizes temperature-controlled radiofrequency (RF) energy to deliver therapy to the internal anal sphincter muscle. The procedure is a minimally invasive, outpatient treatment designed for patients who have failed conservative therapies but wish to avoid more invasive surgical options. In 2017, the Secca technology was acquired by Restech (Respiratory Technology Corp), which continues to support and market the system globally.
