Company intelligence / Profile preview
Second Spring Healthcare Investments was a private healthcare-focused real estate investment vehicle rather than a drug-development biotech or pharma company. Formed in 2016 by affiliates of Lindsay Goldberg and Omega Healthcare Investors, the joint venture focused on acquiring and owning skilled nursing and other post-acute care real estate assets. Its inaugural transaction was the approximately $1.1 billion acquisition of 64 facilities from Welltower, followed by long-term leasing arrangements with Genesis Healthcare affiliates. The company appears to have operated as a healthcare REIT/investment platform based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Available sources indicate the investment was later realized/exited, and database sources classify the entity as acquired/merged in 2024.
