Overview
Secretome Therapeutics has initiated the first-ever clinical study of an allogeneic, off-the-shelf stem cell therapy in HFpEF. Preclinical studies showed significant reduction of inflammation at both cellular/molecular levels with improved cardiac function. Two Phase 1 trials are ongoing/planned—one each for HFpEF and DCM—with proof-of-concept data expected Q3 2025. The company’s approach aims to overcome manufacturing challenges seen with other stem cell therapies by using neonatal CPCs that deliver consistent potency.
