Securetec Detektions-Systeme is a German diagnostics and safety-testing company focused on rapid screening tests for drugs and hazardous substances. Its flagship commercial product line, DrugWipe, is used for mobile detection of drug consumption in saliva, sweat, and on surfaces, especially in roadside testing, customs, law enforcement, workplace, and clinical settings. The company also markets related products such as DrugID substance tests, D.TecT urine tests, and the WipeAlyser portable reader for electronic evaluation of test results. Securetec develops and manufactures its products in-house in Germany and distributes them internationally, with use reported in more than 30 countries. Although sometimes listed in biotechnology directories, it is primarily a commercial diagnostics/device company rather than a therapeutic biotech or pharma developer.
