Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sedac Therapeutics (Société d'Etude et de Développement des Antigènes Combinatoires) was a French biotechnology company specializing in the development of peptide-based immunotherapies and synthetic vaccines. A spin-off of the Institut Pasteur de Lille and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the company focused on targeting infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV, hepatitis C, and herpes simplex virus. Its lead program, MSP3-LSP, was a long synthetic peptide vaccine candidate for malaria that successfully completed a Phase 1 clinical trial demonstrating safety and immunogenicity. The company also pioneered peptide-protein antigen microarray technologies for diagnostic applications before exiting via a leveraged buyout (LBO).
