SeeThruEquity was an equity research and corporate access firm headquartered in New York City that specialized in the micro-cap and small-cap sectors, with a heavy focus on healthcare and biotechnology. Founded in 2011, the firm claimed to provide unbiased, institutional-quality research reports that were not paid for by the companies under coverage. It also hosted investor conferences designed to connect emerging growth companies with institutional and high-net-worth investors. However, the firm's reputation was dismantled following an SEC investigation which revealed that SeeThruEquity accepted undisclosed payments for its research and manipulated price targets. In 2022, a final judgment was entered against the firm and its founders, Ajay and Amit Tandon, for defrauding investors. Consequently, the firm is no longer an active or reputable entity in the financial services or biotech research space.
