Overview
Sensorion’s lead small molecule candidate SENS‑401 has completed a Phase 2a proof-of-concept study showing positive results in preserving residual hearing post-cochlear implantation. The same molecule is in ongoing Phase 2 studies for cisplatin-induced ototoxicity with topline data expected by late H2/2025. Their lead gene therapy candidate SENS‑501 targeting otoferlin deficiency initiated a Phase1/2 trial ("Audiogene") in early 2024, with safety as primary endpoint for dose escalation cohorts. The company also received EMA agreement on Pediatric Investigation Plan for this program[1][2][4].
