Serenex

Serenex was a biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of small molecule therapeutics using its proprietary Proteome Mining technology. This platform enabled the company to rapidly identify drug-target interactions across the entire proteome, facilitating the discovery of novel compounds with high specificity. The company's lead program, SNX-5422, was an orally bioavailable inhibitor of Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) that entered Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of solid tumors and hematological cancers. In April 2008, Serenex was acquired by Pfizer, which integrated the Hsp90 inhibitor program and the Proteome Mining platform into its oncology research and development efforts.
