Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sevident was a private U.S. molecular diagnostics and sample-preparation company that developed a proprietary molecular capture platform called NETs. Its technology was designed to rapidly isolate and enrich analytes such as exosomes, circulating biomarkers, pathogens, and other targets from complex biological samples for downstream diagnostic testing and research use. The company positioned the platform for applications spanning infectious-disease diagnostics, liquid biopsy, prenatal testing, microbiome testing, and life science research tools. In 2019, Sevident’s intellectual property assets and certain laboratory equipment were acquired by Sienna Cancer Diagnostics, which used the technology to expand into liquid biopsy and exosome-based cancer testing. Sevident appears to have ceased operating independently following that asset acquisition.
