Company intelligence / Profile preview
SFJ LungCancer (also known as SFJ LungCancer, Ltd. or SFJ-NSCLC) is a special purpose co-development entity formed by SFJ Pharmaceuticals Group. The company was established to fund, manage, and oversee the clinical development of Pfizer's pan-HER tyrosine kinase inhibitor, Vizimpro (dacomitinib), for the first-line treatment of patients with EGFR-mutated locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Under a risk-sharing agreement, SFJ assumed 100% of the clinical development risk and supervised the global Phase 3 ARCHER 1050 trial. Following the trial's success, Vizimpro received global regulatory approvals from the FDA, EMA, and other authorities in 2018 and 2019. This successful commercialization made SFJ eligible for milestone and earn-out payments from Pfizer.
