Company intelligence / Profile preview
Prior to its acquisition by Eli Lilly in 2008, SGX Pharmaceuticals developed small molecule inhibitors targeting key cancer pathways such as MET and BCR‑ABL kinases. Lead programs included next-generation BCR‑ABL inhibitors effective against resistant CML mutations and c-MET inhibitors for solid tumors. The FAST™ platform enabled rapid structure-guided drug design. No drugs reached commercialization under the independent company; clinical progress was limited to IND filings and early-stage trials at time of acquisition
