MicuRx is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of novel antibiotics for multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacterial infections. Its lead product, Contezolid (MRX-I), is a next-generation oxazolidinone antibiotic designed to minimize the myelosuppression and monoamine oxidase inhibition associated with earlier drugs in its class. Contezolid received marketing approval in China in 2021 for the treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections. The company is also developing a prodrug, Contezolid Acefosamil (MRX-4), for both oral and intravenous administration to address a broader range of serious infections globally. MicuRx maintains research and development facilities in both Shanghai and the United States to support its international clinical programs.
