Overview

Shanghai PerHum Therapeutics developed first-in-human solid tumor CAR-T products using an AND logic gate design to improve safety by requiring both a tumor antigen and the acidic tumor microenvironment for activation. Interim results in metastatic renal cell carcinoma showed feasibility, safety, and no dose-limiting toxicities. However, all known clinical trials have been terminated or discontinued as of late-2024 due to strategic adjustments.[3][7]
